For the third year in a row, I was asked to fully design the brochure and social marketing for the Simmons Undergraduate Symposium (now called Virtual Symposium: Undergraduate Research and Creative Works). Each year I've found I'm able to feel more comfortable going outside of the box, and this project has allowed me to do so, year after year.
Inspired by the Risograph printing process and missing the physical aspect of designing throughout this increasingly virtual era, I hoped to create a piece of media that would feel less digital (2D) and more physical (3D). I incorporated polaroid frames to highlight the featured speakers and a consistent background color to emulate journal paper - or at least not bright white printer paper!
